Uninstalling on Windows
Windows 10
The easiest way to uninstall PC Protect on Windows 10 is to:
- Click the Start button / Windows icon in the bottom left corner of the screen
- Type in PC Protect, then right-click on the resulting app tile and click Uninstall in the context menu
Alternatively, follow the steps below:
- Click the Start button / Windows icon in the bottom left corner of the screen and click the Settings cog/gear icon
- In the Settings window, click the tile labelled Apps
- In the list of installed programs, locate PC Protect in the listing, click it, then click Uninstall
Once the uninstallation has been completed, we advise restarting the computer to fully close and complete removal of PC Protect services.
Windows 8, 7 and Vista
- Click the Start button / Windows icon in the bottom left corner of the screen
- Type Control Panel and click on the Control Panel app search result
- In the Control Panel window, set the view in the top right of the window to be either Small or Large icons, then click the icon labelled Programs & Features
- In the Programs and Features window is a list of all installed applications, locate PC Protect and click on it
- Click the button labelled Uninstall at the top of the program listings
- A confirmation dialogue box will ask to confirm uninstallation, click Yes
- Windows may prompt with a message stating Windows needs your permission to continue, click Continue
Once the uninstallation has been completed, we advise restarting the computer to fully close and complete removal of PC Protect services.
Windows XP
- Click the Start button and then click Control Panel
- In the Control Panel window double click on Add or Remove Programs
- In Add or Remove Programs is a list of all installed applications, locate PC Protect and click on it, then click Change/Remove
- Click Remove, then click Yes in the confirmation dialogue box to begin uninstalling
Once the uninstallation has been completed, we advise restarting the computer to fully close and complete removal of PC Protect services.
